My best friend gave me her Olympus camera recently. She wants to buy a new one so she gave it to me. Although it no longer has its typical Olympus camera battery it still functions superbly. I always believed in the Olympus brand. I think most users would agree would me that Olympus never lets you down. It is one of the most superior cameras in the world.

Unknown to many, the Olympus brand initially produced microscope and thermometer. The brand is owned by Olympus Corporation, a Japanese company established as early as 1919. It was originally named as Takachiho Seisakusho that later changed to Takachiho Optical Co., Ltd. in 1942. Then it was changed again to Olympus Optical Co., Ltd in 1949 for corporate brand building. However it was again renamed to Olympus Corporation in 2003 for consistency in brand identity.
