There are many things you can do to add a new dimension to your garden pond or pool. Underwater lighting is one of them. Lighting is pretty as it is when used on land; but there is a certain kind of attraction and romance when lights are used under water. It may not mean much in the daytime but it presents a different dimension at night. A variety of styles and colors will create different looks in your pond or pool.

When installing underwater lighting it is important to use only materials that are specified for outdoor and underwater use. Most underwater lighting use 12 volt halogen lamps attached to transformers that are UL and CSA listed for outdoor use. Make your choice from lights of different colors and lighting that also feature a water display. For a shallow pond, choose a tungsten halogen lamp mounted in a stainless steel case. It will operate in water as shallow as 6 inches.
