The Garmin line of navigators has proven to be very useful for those who often go on trips. These gadgets make travel faster and easier because it eliminates the time spent looking for the right landmarks, roads, etc. Each navigator is preloaded with Garmin maps that can be updated via the company’s map updates website.

To update your Garmin maps, you first have to have the Garmin Communicator Plug-in software installed in your unit. Connect and select your Garmin model then enter the serial number of your device. Click “Find Map Updates” and you can then see if you qualify to avail of a free update or if you should purchase one. Download map updates as needed.
