Going Nowhere

During one of the camping trips I have planned out with my friends, I have experienced getting lost and spending a good few hours going around in circles. I had forgotten my Garmin Oregon 450 in my other bag, and thought I had the same in my backpack which I carried with me when I stepped out of the camp area. When I was ready to return I realized I have nothing much in my backpack except for a few snacks and some tools.

It was a good thing that my friends came looking for me, and a few hours of waiting in the dark, they were able to find me. I was extremely lucky to have been found as I would not be able to survive it out in the cold weather. It served as a wonderful lesson for me. Now I would always check my stuff whenever I head out and separate from my friends. I would not want to experience the same dilemma once again.
