Precision machining

Machining is common in the manufacture of almost all metals. Precision machining makes use of power-driven machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and drill presses to cut metal into a desired shape. Precision machining can also be applied to other materials such as wood and plastic. A person who specializes in these processes is called a machinist and he works in a machine shop. It can be a business or a hobby.

You will want to go to a machine shop if you need to manufacture, modify or repair production parts for a variety of equipment. They offer a wide array of services including precision test sample preparation or custom fixture building. They have all the tools to be able to do it. You will look for quality in the work of a machine shop. Customer service and reasonable pricing is also important.
