Toy of the Year 00
The standard of toys changed in the year 2000 when Razor USA, LLC, a privately held company based in Cerritos, California, came out with the razor scooter. The original Razor A scooter features a single folding action mechanism with top line 98mm polyurethane wheels, ABEC bearings, a rear-step friction brake for quick stops, and adjustable handlebars. It is made from extremely lightweight and durable aircraft-grade aluminum. The line of Razor products also includes the Dirt Rocket, Pocket Mod, Pocket Rocket, Ground Force, a line of electric powered ride-on toys and a junior line of scooters. The success of the Razor scooter was recognized with the Toy of the Year Award that year.
Blue Razor scooters were picked up not only by kids but by celebrities and even businessmen and professionals. They became part of the American culture. It was not only used to entertain. It became a classic mode of transportation, as well. No doubt, the Razor scooter will stay on as another toy that young and old will want to master. It will also be a practical transportation option for years to come.
