Some sewing projects look better when they come with embroidery. If you are looking to buy one of those new embroidery machines, you have to take several things into consideration:

• Find a machine you are comfortable with. Check if there’s a training package that comes with it.
• During training, insist that you get more time spent on the machine and less time with the software. If you make a mistake with the software, you can easily reboot. But if you make a mistake with the machine, you may have to pay extra as operator error is not covered by warranty.
• Videotape your trainer’s instructions and practice on the machine while your trainer is still there to supervise you.
